QuietRose pt2

Rosefall lifted her head up high to hearing her new warrior name being chanted. Finally she was a warrior. A faint smile was on her face as she glanced over at her brother who also became a warrior with her. Even though the two were rather distant Rosefall would still love her brother since he was all she had left of their family. Or so she thought when the she-cat landed her eyes on a familiar tom and hearing a familiar name. Wolfwind...Tears formed at the corners of Rosefall's eyes, a sense of emotions washed over her. Her other brother was still alive..

Quietnight hurried over to Rosefall with a spark of excitement in his eyes. "Congrats Rosefall."he purred, nuzzling her. His ears perked as he looked at the two cats. "Those your brothers Rosie?"he chirped.

Rosefall looked over at the warrior, a delight smile on her face as a blush also dusted on her cheeks. She returned a nuzzle back to Quietnight and purred. Both were warriors now and it made the she-cat delighted. "T-Thanks Quietnight.." Rosefall stuttered slightly, not out of that habit yet. Her gaze settled on her brothers, Limefire being congratulated as Wolfwind was being welcomed back. "And y-yeah, they a-are.."

"Well, your vigil is not until tonight. Care to come for a walk with me?"meowed Quietnight.

"S-Sure.." Rosefall stuttered, a red hue dusted slightly on the newly made warrior. She admitted, she had a crush on the warrior that she befriended since they were kits. Quitenight was just always there for her and Rosefall couldn't be anymore grateful for the tom to not leave her side. "Where w-we going?"

"No where in particular, Rosie. I thought it'd be nice to just get out for a bit."meowed the young maine coon mix. With care he rested his tail on top of Rosefall's back, wanting to keep her close. They had been very close since they had been kits back in their first leafbare. Now, two full seasons had passed since those times, they were full grown adults now. Well, Quietnight though was still growing, and it showed with him being actually bigger then his father, Riversnow. This was due to the Maine Coon side he got from his mother. "I am glad those rogues are out from our territory, but I'm worried. Powderpaw and Dovefeather haven't been back in ages."

Rosefall nodded and purred, agreeing with the tom. A small blush rose to her cheeks when his fluffy tail brought her a bit closer towards the other and her heart started to race. Questions filled in her head, mostly in her relationship with Quietnight. Were they going to be this close forever? Will they? Does Quietnight know how important he was to her? Did he even like her back? The last question stood out the most and it made Rosefall feel insecure again. 'He probably doesn't...' She thought before looking back at the handsome tom. 'At least let me be happy with him if he doesn't..' The remembrance of the two she-cats popped into her head, also pondering what happened to them. "M-Me too..W-What if more cats w-when missing like t-they did?" Worry flooded the newly named warrior, worry and fear filled in her eyes, scared that the same would happen to her brothers and Quietnight.

"I don't know, but I-I think maybe, StarClan maybe behind the vanishing of them. It's just a hunch though."he mewed. Quietnight did notice the look of fear and worry in her delicate face. So he nuzzled her, purring up a storm as they walked, leading her to Tangled Roots.

"Starclan huh?" She murmured, looking up at the sky. 'Mother, father, you know what's happened to those two don't you? Please..let them return home safe and don't take anyone else..not Quietnight..' Rosefall prayed silently before turning her attention back to the tom. A blush rose to her cheeks to Quietnight's nuzzle, that action making the she-cat's heart race even faster and her face redder. Rosefall followed the tom side-by-side.

Quietnight nodded as they walked along the river bank. The trees in the forest were changing their hues of green to a rainbow of colors; orange, red, brown, yellow, and gold...they were all there to see. Leaffall was certianly here, starting to grab hold and leafbare was not far behind. "Remember when we were kits? seeing snow for the first time?"he chuckled.

Rosefall remembered the first time they meet and she cherished that memory since. Both kits have just befriended with each other and they first discovered snow. The kits both played in it the first time, pretended to be rabbits in the snow. The warrior chuckled fondly over that moment as she nodded. "Yeah, remember how we pretended we were rabbits in the snow?" Rosefall chuckled.

"I do, it was quite silly, but fun."chuckled Quietnight. "Can I ask you something?"

Rosefall blinked and held her breath, but the same question from previous stuck in her mind for so long that she had to find out. "A-Actually Qu-Quietnight there w-was something I-I've been meaning t-to tell you.." She stuttered, looking down at her paws which she was shuffling at the ground. The she-cat took a deep breath, as it became harder to talk and breath all of a sudden. "Y-You've been my b-bestest friend a-a cat could ask f-for. You comforted m-me during m-my sad t-times and y-you make me h-happy in return." Rosefall shyly looked up at the tom, yellow eyes with blue eyes. "I...I l-l-like y-y-you Quietnight a-and I've b-b-been holding t-that in since w-we were a-apprentices..." She confessed, looking down at the ground again. "I like you Quietnight." She repeated. "I really like you.." Repeated once more, going a bit softer.

Quietnight didn't know how to respond from the shock of it. Rosefall loved him right back? it was like she knew exactly what he, himself had been about to ask her. After a moment of silence he took to recover from the shock Quietnight did something he did best...he let his actions speak for themselves. He broke into a hearty purr and kissed her right between her eyes and moved to gently pin her to the ground. Nuzzling her as, a look of love in his eyes. "How is it you know me so well? how is it you asked the very question I was about to ask my sweet Rosie?"he purred into her ear.

The silence was unbearable. Was he disgusted? Does Quietnight only think of her as a friend? Rosefall sighed softly, she knew rejection was going to come and it cracked her heart. She wanted for that friendly rejection, that he only liked her as a friend but it never came. Instead she received a kiss and was now on the ground beneath the tom she loved. A dark blush creeped on her face as she whimpered slightly when the tom whispered in her ear. Her eyes widen slightly as she looked at the love of her life. "Y-You...R-Return my f-feelings?" Rosefall stuttered, tilting her head slightly.

"More then you could ever dream of."he mewed as he moved to let her up. "No matter what happens, I'll always be there for you because I love you. Your far more then a best friend to me."

Rosefall rolled on her side to get back up on her four paws. This was all so sudden and Rosefall loved every bit of it. "Oh Quietnight! I-I love you t-too!" She mewed, nuzzling her love and purred in affection. Burying her face into the tom's fur and breathing in his scent, she knew that this moment was forever going to be in her mind. "D-Does t-that m-mean w-were mates?" Rosefall shyly asking up the question even though it became clearly obvious to the both of them.

"Yes it does."he purred.
